Land and Water – Printmakers April Flanders and Josh Winkler
Land and Water: Environmental Conflict and Connection in the American Landscape brings together printmakers April Flanders and Josh Winkler, whose work explores the relationship between people and the natural world. Flanders examines marine ecosystems threatened by invasive species, microplastics and climate change through large-scale installations and prints, including works inspired by the Pee Dee River Basin. Winkler’s panoramic woodcuts depict drought, wildfire, deforestation and a warming climate across American landscapes. Together, they reveal the interconnectedness of ecological systems and our place within them.
